The Empress Breakfast: Matcha Porridge with Berries

Matcha Porridge with Berries

Serves 1

  • 1/2 cup oats
  • 1 teaspoon matcha (or more or less as per your taste preference, it can be bitter)
  • Mixed berries
  • Black sesame seeds or chia seeds


Add oats with 1 cup water to a small saucepan. Set aside for 10 minutes to swell. Add salt, milk of your choice, and turn heat onto low. Cook porridge for a few minutes, stirring, until thick and hot. Add a little more water or milk if necessary.
